This year TR footwear is doing some really interesting things with their canvas shoe designs. The Summer Golden Sandal has the best toe design ever, neither too much or too little. The three-tiered design is both practical and flattering. I give it ‘Best Original Hybrid Design.’

Canvas is a great alternative to leather; lightweight, breathable, less processed and very accommodating to the foot. Canvas is durable too, think of your favorite blue jeans. Lest you think these TR shoes too practical the designers at TR footwear have taken the time to line them in whimsical prints. The features of the Summer Golden design are also available in a Slip On and a Mary Jane version.

TR is great at developing options. With one for each season, you could wear incarnations of your favorite shoe all year.

TR Emerald City 3-Point in Slate Black

Heading north we have the Emerald City Sandal. Velvety soft leathers wrap the lower profile sole and uppers of the classy little sandals in the Emerald City mini collection. I was very excited to try the Emerald City Slide for its original design that emphasizes wonderfully organic foot flattering curves. But I’m most excited about the Emerald City 3-Point which turned out really well. I name it ‘Best Indoor Sandal.’ The strap placement, proportions and original lines of the Emerald City 3 Point make it a real catch for sandal season.
